Custom Hand Made Knives

SMYB is a small company that started because a hobby of making one-of-a-kind knives for fun started to yield high quality cutlery. Initially, several knives were made and distributed to a small group of close friends to be “torture tested”. The results would determine if the quality was high enough to start selling knives with the assurance that they would perform at the level that one would expect from a high-end knife. This test group beat and abused these knives and they held up surprisingly well (with a few exceptions, as expected). Manufacturing processes have been continually refined to further increase the quality of the knife and increase construction efficiencies.

After making and selling several knives, special orders started coming in. “Can you make a knife that looks like this….” or “Have you seen the knife in the movie….” The answer is always: Heck yeah! From that point on, we started making knives one at a time where every knife is specified by the customer prior to starting and progress is updated back to the customer as the knife is being made.
